In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the critical role that women play in driving economic growth and development. Despite this, women entrepreneurs continue to face significant barriers when it comes to accessing finance and investment opportunities for their businesses. Recognising the need to address this gender disparity, wCap in partnership with the Time+Tide Foundation embarked on a mission to create a programme specifically tailored to the needs of women-led businesses.

The Women in Business Investor Readiness Programme was born out of a desire to empower women entrepreneurs and provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed in the business world. Studies have shown that women-led businesses are often overlooked by investors, leading to a significant disparity in funding between male and female entrepreneurs. This innovative programme is designed to bridge the gender gap in access to finance by providing female entrepreneurs with the tools and resources they need to succeed in the competitive world of business.

The programme consists of a series of workshops, mentorship sessions and networking opportunities tailored specifically to the needs of women-led businesses. Participants have the opportunity to learn from industry experts, connect with potential investors and develop the skills needed to attract investment for their businesses.
